Im in the states at the moment racing for a pro team over here and loving it. Have already won the under 23 title in one the the biggest tours over here so that was awesome. Im here for 3 and a half months and then go to europe for another 3 and a months to qulify for the world champs.
Well the aussie tour which was 3 days was awesome and I had some really good form for it, I won the under 23 jersey which I was stoked about. The world cup which was 2 days after the tour went well - I got in a few breaks up the climbs but it ended up a bunch finish and I finished 23rd which was ok but would have like to do better.
For Wellington tour I got the flu, I started the first day which was the crit and I did pretty well in that - meshy Holt and myself broke away and stayed away for a good 10 minutes but were brought back. I didnt start the next day as I was sick with the flu and wanted to try to get better for the world cup. I started the world cup but was feeling very sick. However I started and I got in the break of 5 girls which went 7kms into the race and stayed away for over 100kms so I was very happy with that, there were only really 3 of us working in the break so it was hard work, at one stage we had 4 mintues on the bunch. We got caught with a lap and a half to go. 45 girls pulled out and 60 finished. I finished around 30th.
I am still getting over my flu but head to America to race for a pro team over there next sunday, Im really looking forward to it. I have an apartment in colaroda springs and the team is based in Calafornia. I will be there for 3 and a half months then head to europe for a further 3 months.
